Dimitris Motsos is a PhD candidate at the Democritus University of Thrace specializing in the political ideological currents of the 20th century and holds a Masters Degree in South East European Studies from the Faculty of Law. He works as a logographer and communications officer in the Press, Communication & Public Relations Office of the Directorate of Development & European Planning of the Municipality of Pavlos Melas. In 2011, on a trip to Provence, France, he comes into contact with wine, which is expected to be crucial for the rest of his life, as he drives him to the WSPC's desks and has since found a way to deal with his new love.
In 2013 he founded the wine blog www.winegeeks.gr, and since 2016 he has been writing about wine and flavors at Parallaxi.gr. Recently, he started his new collaboration with Andro.gr, where he combines his insatiable love for words, wine and spirits. Since 2014 he has been the wine buyer and wine and sales consultant at Cava Abatzis in Thessaloniki and has organized various wine workshops, tastings and presentations. Furthermore, he has successfully completed the WSET Level 4 Diploma in Wines and Spirits in 2018 and he has now returned to the WSPC desks, but this time not as a student but as an instructor. He adores travelling, photography and every page written by John Steinbeck and Archibald Joseph Cronin. He is married to Kalliopi and together they have two little boys, Thomas and Jacob.
