  KARATHANOS Thanasis

Thanassis Karathanos comes from Karditsa, from a viticultural family. He studied Chemistry and Oenology at the University of Athens and his postgraduate studies were on the Quality Control. He has been working for the laboratory of food package in the University Rutgers, New Jersey, for the Institute of Wine in Athens, as well as a director of a Greek wine industry. He is the person in charge of the laboratories of Technology and Qualitative Control of Wine-Distillates of the Department of Food Technology, Technological Educational Institute of Larissa. He writes articles for wine magazines-newspapers and he is the chairman of the Union of Greek Enologists.
